To apply for Federal Financial Aid, complete and submit your FAFSA form along with the required documents. The award year runs from July 1 to June 30; to receive federal aid for that year, be sure to apply before June 30. While there’s no institutional deadline for Federal Title IV Financial Aid, you must complete all requirements before the end of your first semester to receive funding. 

The U.S. Department of Education’s website offers detailed information about financial aid, including how to apply. Start by getting your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID, the first step in accessing funding and managing your information.

Be sure to review all funding options, especially free grants and scholarships. If you’re considering loans, we recommend looking into federal student loan options first—they offer better terms and flexibility than private loans. Loans are a serious commitment, so it’s best to weigh your options carefully. Our schools participate in active duty tuition assistance (TA) programs for the armed forces. To receive Tuition Assistance, you first need to apply through your Education Services Officer (ESO). Each branch of the military has different timing requirements, but generally, approval is needed before your program or term begins. Without prior approval, your Tuition Assistance will be denied, and you’ll need to find other funding sources. You’ll also need to maintain passing grades and stay in good standing with your branch. We’re here to support you every step of the way, of course.

Our schools participate in the Veteran’s Education Benefits programs. To access your benefits, you’ll need to apply through the VA website. There, you’ll learn more about eligibility requirements, how funding works, and how to maintain your benefits. Make sure to submit transcripts from any previous training early on to avoid processing delays. Once your application is approved, you can manage your benefits directly through the VA website. All AIM campuses are approved for Veteran Educational Benefits for eligible veterans, but please note our avocational programs aren’t covered. We also accept the GI Bill® and Military Tuition Assistance at most of our schools, except for the Chicago and Phoenix campuses.
