Sopwith in flight mode

The Sopwith project is moving along at a fast pace. We have certified welder, Jeffry McCravy who is in his third term here at the school. He has really been a great help on catching up on the metal pieces that needed welding. We are now getting ready to mill our spars for the wings, there has been good progress on rib building, it will still be a while before we have completed that task. The pilot and gunners floors are in progress after they are positioned we can start assembling the control pieces. The step was finished this week and will get welded in place this Friday. All this work has been helped along by a group of dedicated students, every day after school we normally have between four and five volunteers and on Friday we have about six or seven.

Will post again soon with more pictures of completed projects.
