Program Information
We’re looking for qualified students interested in a real-world apprenticeship program. Looking for real-world work experience? Ready to put the skills you have learned at AIM into practice? Want to earn a little extra cash?
The Fighter Factory is offering up to 6 AIM students the opportunity to participate in an apprentice program at its aircraft maintenance facility at the Virginia Beach Municipal Airport in Pungo. Restore aircraft to prestigious WWI and WWII condition!
Apprentice Program Requirements
- Must transfer to night classes in order to work days at the Fighter Factory.
- Must have completed the General section of their A&P courses.
- Must maintain a 3.5 GPA.
- Must live within 30 minutes of Fighter Factory.
- Must have a good personality, be dependable and have a strong work ethic.
- Must purchase two Fighter Factory work shirts and own basic hand tools.
- Preference will be given to those with prior mechanical work experience.
