American Airlines

When American Airlines created nearly 500 new aviation maintenance jobs, they came straight to AIM to find the talent. As part of our ongoing partnership, our top graduates are shortlisted for interviews and job placements with the airline.

AAR Corp

AAR opened a branded classroom at AIM Indianapolis, kicking off our partnership with a Fellowship Program where students gain real-world experience working part-time with AAR. To open even more opportunities for aspiring aviation professionals, AAR also invested $25,000 in AIM student scholarships.

British Airways

We teamed up with British Airways to introduce its fully funded Engineering Cadet Scheme to the U.S. After two years at AIM, cadets travel to London for a three-year on-the-job training phase, then return to the U.S. to work on British Airways aircraft at JFK and Newark.

Republic Airways

With Republic Airways, we established the RJet Maintenance Cadet Program to offer AIM students conditional job offers midway through their training. Our collaboration gives students early interview opportunities, mentorship from Republic technicians, and exclusive access to events at Republic’s headquarters.

Piedmont

We’ve partnered with Piedmont Airlines to train aircraft maintenance technicians with the support of our Tuition Payment Program. The program provides tuition assistance and a conditional job offer to students who complete the program.

United Airlines

As United Airlines’ top recruiting destination, we helped launch its Calibrate Technician Pathway Program. It streamlines United’s application and interview process for AIM grads, giving them access to mentorship and job opportunities with the airline.

“ Our collaboration with AIM and Velocity R has been nothing short of transformative. In my experience, no other organization has matched their dedication to opening up the world of aviation to those who might not have even known it existed. The opportunities they’ve created for us to connect with scholarship recipients have been truly inspiring. “

Mark Cronin

Velocity R Executive Director & Founder

“ American is excited to grow our talented Technical Operations workforce with more high-paying, skilled aviation maintenance positions. It’s an opportunity to grow our maintenance capacity and capabilities in the near term and preserve them over the long run by continuing to build our pipeline of future maintenance team members. ”

Greg Emerson

“ We are pleased to gather together with members of the local AAR team and AIM leadership to celebrate the opening of this classroom. It symbolizes our shared passion for unlocking learning opportunities and speaks to the broader AAR / AIM partnership. ”

Tom Hoferer

AAR Senior Vice President, Repair & Engineering

“ We are delighted to launch our Engineering Cadet Scheme in the U.S. and nurture talented AIM students as they step into careers with British Airways. Investing in future technicians is vital, and this program will aid in building a pipeline of future engineers in bases across America. We look forward to providing cadets with the skills and expertise to help keep our aircraft flying safely across the globe. ”

Andy Best

British Airways Chief Technical Officer

“ AIM is an important partner for LAUNCH as we work to develop the aircraft technician pipeline for our clients throughout Texas and the rest of the country. We have built strong relationships with many local clients in the DFW area and know the students coming out of AIM will be a continuing source of talent for them as they hire. ”

Mike Reporto

LAUNCH Chief Commercial Officer

“ Working with the Aviation Institute of Maintenance has truly been a game-changer for me and the community I serve. Through our partnership, I’ve connected with local constituents and beyond more meaningfully, creating tangible opportunities in education, engagement, and employment. Their leadership and support at every step have been exceptional. I’m grateful for this enduring partnership and look forward to reaching even greater heights together. ”

Jackie Hope Glass

Delegate, Virginia House of Delegates, 93rd District

“ I have been so grateful that my students have been able to visit AIM’s Phoenix campus, meet AIM staff here on campus, and even have AIM connect with our teachers to show appreciation for their preparation for students’ entrances into STEM careers. By connecting with AIM, our students have had doors opened to careers in several aviation fields. We look forward to many of our graduates attending the programs AIM offers, preparing them for high-wage, high-demand careers. ”

James Williams

Science, Technology, and Aerospace Academy Principal – The Academies at South Mountain

“ AIM provided hands-on learning in an immersive, safe environment, with wonderful, supportive staff and guest presenters. Our visits to AIM exposed our campers to new careers and educational paths, and the inclusion of AIM’s female students allowed our campers to picture themselves as airline mechanics in the future. Every staff member I have worked with from AIM has gone out of their way to support our program, suggesting terrific ideas and making them come to fruition. As an educator, I can see the impact of our visits, and AIM has helped our goal of expanding aviation career awareness. ”
