Aircraft Welding: The Combination Welding training (12 months) offers many opportunities if you enjoy working with your hands, machines and metals. Hands-on training will allow you to develop the basic manipulative skills involved in welding and flame cutting, and classroom instruction covers welding theory, shop prints and blueprints and more. When you graduate, you will be prepared to take the test for the Welding Certification from American Welding Society (AWS) 3G-4G.

Aviation Maintenance Technician: The Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) training (21 months) is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to excel as an aircraft technician. You are trained to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft components and systems, including the airframe, piston engines, turbine engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, propellers, instrumentation, warning, and environmental systems. When you graduate, you will be prepared to take the FAA General, Airframe, and Powerplant exams.

Human Factors: The Human Factors online course engages trainees in understanding and applying safety, precaution, and psychological factors to airport and aircraft safety. This course blends an interactive environment of learning with thought-provoking examples for the student to understand and apply to their roles within an aviation career. The introductory course is free for all enrollees and may be applied toward a full certification in Human Factors from Aviation Institute of Maintenance.

Professional Aviation Maintenance Certification: If you are an experienced (30 months of aviation maintenance work) airplane technician you might meet the FAA’s Part 65 requirements to test for your FAA A&P certificate examination. The Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Preparation Course (1 month) prepares the aircraft technician with experience to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to sit for the FAA’s A&P certificate exam.
